This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you visit BackUpBrace.com, buy from us, or contact us, and the choices and rights you have.

To protect your information, we will verify your identity by matching details you give us, such as your name, email address, and order information, with our records. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof of your written permission, and we may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Response time: we will respond within 45 days. Where the law allows, we may extend this by another 45 days, and we will tell you if we do. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. Your state law may also allow you to contact your state attorney general.

Global Privacy Control: where supported, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser.

8. Children's privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 where state law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. For example, we keep order records for accounting, tax, returns, and warranty purposes, and as required by law. We then delete or anonymize it.

Our store runs on Shopify, and payments are processed by providers that meet the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), with data encrypted in transit. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure.

11. Age of majority

By using this site, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence, or that you are the age of majority and have given consent for your minor dependents to use this site.
